A little festive cheer for women fleeing domestic violence in Rochdale

Women’s Housing Action Group (WHAG) has been given a donation of clothes worth over £2,000 by Littleborough fashion boutique, 25 Ten.
The clothes comprises of new jeans, coats, jumpers, t-shirts, etc from leading Danish brands such as Vila, B-Young and ICHI.
WHAG works with women who are experiencing or fleeing domestic abuse who often have to leave with very few belongings and personal possessions.
Susan Saville Service Manager at WHAG in Rochdale said: “These clothes will enable the women to have a special Christmas outfit of very high quality on Christmas Day.
“The donation has made the women feel very special and raised their self esteem, which is all part of the healing process."
Kelly Turner-Mitchell, owner of the boutique, said: “At Christmas we need to remember those less fortunate than ourselves. I was delighted to be able to out."
WHAG is a registered charity established in Rochdale in 1981 to support vulnerable women and provides an accommodation unit for 12 women and their children as well as 16 self-contained supported accommodation flats for homeless women, with a resettlement service.
