Andrew Mcfadyen sentenced for supplying drugs

Date published: 04 December 2014

A man has been sentenced after police seized over £400,000 worth of drugs in Rochdale.

Andrew Mcfadyen (10/08/1974) of Oxendale Drive, pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to the supply of amphetamines.

Today, Thursday 4 December 2014 he was jailed for six years at Manchester Crown Court Crown Square; three years eight months for the supply of class B drugs and two years four months on recall to prison.

On Tuesday 21 October 2014 police executed a warrant at Eycott Drive, Middleton, where they discovered large quantities of amphetamines with a street value of around £400,000 and also mobile phones.

Mcfadyen was later arrested for the supply of a controlled drug.

Detective Constable Wesley Knights said: “This is a fantastic result for us and for the communities of Rochdale, because it means we have stopped thousands of pounds worth of drugs from making it onto the streets and causing misery.

“Today’s sentence reflects our commitment to rid Greater Manchester of drugs and make our communities a safer place, and I hope this sends the strong message that we will catch drug dealers.

“If anyone has information about those concerned in the sale or supply of drugs I would encourage them to call us in confidence.”
