Motorway closed due to woman on wrong side of the bridge

The A627(M) motorway between Rochdale and Oldham was closed for a number of hours today (Thursday 27 November) after reports that a woman was on the wrong side of the bridge.
Police were called to Junction 2 of the A627(M) Slattocks Link at 11:15am - police negotiators closed the motorway for over two hours.
The 24-year-old woman was taken to hospital by ambulance at around 1:30pm.
The road then reopened.
