Rochdale Circle CIC had a visit this week from Ted Mutimer and Lynn Butterworth of the Littleborough & District Lions Club.
The Lions had come along to present Circle with a cheque for £100 to help support the work Circle does to reduce loneliness amongst the boroughs older population.
The money will be used to buy Christmas Hampers for some Circle Members who are unable to get along to the social events Circle puts on every month.
The lucky recipients will be selected at random and get their pre-Christmas surprise early in December.
Ted Mutimer from the Littleborough Lions said: "We like to support local organisations with the good work they do and we have been impressed by the work Circle has done in helping older people.”
Mark Wynn, from Circle, added: “We would like to thank Ted and Lynn from the Littleborough Lions for their support. I’m sure our winning members will be thrilled with their hampers.”
