Filthy town centre road sign cleaned
The "filthy" road sign located opposite Touchstones in the town centre has been cleaned by Rochdale Council.
Last week Rochdale Online published an article asking if it was the borough's dirtiest road sign after it was described as “filthy” and “off putting” by local residents.
When notified, Mark Widdup, Director of Economy and Environment at Rochdale Council, said: “The trees and bushes in Broadfield Park often leave dirt and tree sap on the nearby road signs. We endeavour to clean these regularly and will ensure that this sign gets cleaned as soon as possible.”
True to his word Mr Widdup has ensured the sign has been cleaned promptly.
