The Rotary Club of Rochdale East came out victorious at the annual Rotary quiz night held on Tuesday (11 November) at The Heywood pub.
The quiz involved each of the local Rotary clubs with teams from Rochdale East, Heywood Rotary, Middleton Rotary and Rochdale Rotary Club taking part.
Heywood Rotary Club hosted the event and had substantial home support. However, 'away' supporters from Rochdale East, Middleton and Rochdale were also in good voice.
After a steady start, Rochdale East eventually got into their stride and managed to overtake leaders Heywood to finish on top and retain their title for another year.
Neil Beverley, from the Rotary Club, said: “A huge thank you must go to all at Heywood Rotary for organising and hosting the event. A great time was had by all.”
Next year it will fall on Rochdale Rotary Club to host the event. The club is looking forward to the challenge from all of the local clubs to try and take the trophy from Rochdale East.
