Three men arrested after a man died following a collision in Rochdale

Three men have been arrested after a man died following a collision in Rochdale.

A man aged 18 from Cheetham Hill has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been bailed until 19/12/14.

A man aged 18 from Monsall has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been bailed until 16/02/2015.

A man aged 21 from Rochdale has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been bailed until 16/02/2015.

Police were called to Bury Road in Rochdale shortly before 4.40am on Sunday 9 November 2014, to reports of a collision.

When officers arrived they found a white Audi A6 S-line had collided with a grey Audi A5 Sport.

25-year-old Joseph Brown-Lartey, who was driving the Audi A5, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

The four men in the white Audi A6, aged between 18 and 21, were taken to hospital to be treated for their injuries.

Sergeant Paul Higgins from GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “We are fully investigating the circumstances leading up to this collision and if anyone who witnessed or heard the collision, I would urge you to call us with any information.”
