Investigations into fresh allegations of sexual abuse by Jimmy Savile include Birch Hill Hospital and Scott House Hospital in Rochdale.

Birch Hill Hospital is run by Pennine Acute NHS Trust and Scott House Hospital in Norden, a former children’s home, is now run by Calderstones NHS Foundation Trust.

A total of 12 NHS trusts have been contacted over fresh investigations that have emerged since June into alleged abuse by Savile on NHS premises, the Department of Health has said in a written statement.
