Wheatsheaf Shopping Centre Fashion Show

Date published: 01 November 2014

The Wheatsheaf Shopping Centre held a fashion show today (Saturday 1 November) after their first show earlier this year was a huge success.

Back by popular demand, the fashion show showed off the latest trends from retailers in the centre including New Look, Peacocks and Evans.

Martin Ballard from Red Cap Marketing said: “We always try and do at least one fashion show a year and with the earlier show being popular we decided to hold another one.

“One thing that Debbie [Heron] noticed as the new Wheatsheaf Centre Manager was that there is a real strength of ladies fashion in the centre and that is something the centre will be driving forward.”

Fashion consultants from London, the Style Doctors also returned to the centre and were on hand to offer advice to shoppers about how to look good on a budget.

Elin Mai from Style Doctors said: “We decided to come back because it went so well last time. Last time we did make overs and offered style advice and this time we have decided to show people how to look good on a budget. People often see styles in magazines and think that they can’t look the same but they can and that is what we are helping with.”

The Style Doctors utilised local retailers to show off clothes and styles available to those in Rochdale.

“We have used items from New Look and Peacocks, including winter coats and scarves to put together different looks,” added Elin.

The Style Doctors received a positive response.

Elin said: “Its has been good. We have had a mix of people coming along and speaking to us. We would definitely come back again.”
