Woman arrested for assault after two women taken to hospital with injuries

A woman has been arrested for section 18 assault after two women were assaulted on Spotland Road in the early hours of this morning (Friday 31 October).
Police were called just before 3.40am to the incident which is believed to have happened near to the post office on Spotland Road.
Emergency services attended and two women were taken to hospital. The women later discharged themselves from hospital.
It is understood that police are still at the scene.
