Date published: 29 October 2014
Hundreds of Middleton residents packed Bowlee Community Park this evening (Wednesday 29 October) for the Middleton bonfire and fireworks display.
The bonfire was lit at 7pm with a firework display lighting the night sky from 7:30pm.
Those in attendance could also enjoy fairground rides and games.
This was the first council organised bonfire to be held. Council organised bonfires will also be held in Rochdale and Heywood throughout the week.
As well as council organised bonfires, other organisations have organised bonfires planned.
