Three shot guns stolen from house in Castleton
Date published: 25 October 2014
Three shot guns were stolen from a house in Castleton during a burglary between 7.20am and 7.45pm on Friday 24 October.
The three licensed shot guns were taken amongst other items including a Movado watch.
Police have released images of the three guns - a Beretta super sport, a Beretta 303 and a Cogswell & Harrison 12 bore single shot gun - and are appealing to anyone with information about their whereabouts to contact them.
Detective Inspector Denise Pye said: "I want to reassure the community that we are following up every line of enquiry in the investigation and doing everything we can to locate these guns. While they are registered and licensed to the owner, in the wrong hands they could cause untold damage or serious injury and it is imperative that we locate them."
Anyone with information about the burglary or knows the whereabouts of the stolen items should call police on 0161 856 8470 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
