Kingsway Park High School held an Experience Day for 900 students on Wednesday (22 October) and 15 coaches parked outside the school caused traffic chaos with residents and drivers complaining of the disruption.
Steve Parratt, Deputy Head at Kingsway Park High School, said: “In order to fulfil this day we had to order 15 coaches which although had staggered arrival times, unfortunately, nearly all turned up together.
“There was some disruption to the traffic moving past the school.
“The Experience Day is only once per term, so in order to minimise disruption to local residents we are looking into the possibility of getting more coaches into our car park for future events.”
The students took part in many varied activities away from the school giving them an opportunity to enrich the curriculum offered to them.
