Springhill Hospice
Representatives from the hospice were in attendance at the Mayor’s Ball on Friday (17 October). This year the Mayor’s charity appeal is raising money for a number of local charities, including Springhill Hospice.
Ellie and David Mussan will be took part in the Birmingham half marathon for the Hospice this weekend. Craig Madley also took part in the half marathon. He has completed six challenges over six months and the half marathon was his final challenge.
Hospice Care Week took place between Monday 6 October and Sunday 12 October. Described by the hospice fundraising team as a “lovely week”, those raising money for the hospice held tea parties and events.
The hospice will have a stall at The Pack Horse in Birtle on Monday (20 October) evening as part of a Christmas Fair.
A bag packing event at Sainsbury’s at Heaton Park has been organised for Friday 14 November. Anybody interested in helping can contact the fundraising team on 01706 641790.
Man of Rochdale
This year’s Man of Rochdale luncheon will take place on Friday 28 November. Nominations can be sent in to the hospice until Monday 3 November.

Sunday 16 November – Christmas Fair – Sunday 16 November
10am and 3pm (free to attend)
The event will include a Santa’s grotto, games, stalls and raffles.
Thursday 4 December – Lights of Love Service
Rochdale Parish Church
The service will begin at 7pm and gives people the chance to dedicate a light to a loved on.
Sunday 7 December – Lights of Love Service
Two services will take place at the hospice. The first will start at 3pm with a second service at 6pm.
Thursday 7 December – Lights of Love Service
The last of this year’s Lights of Love Services will see two services take place at the hospice. The first will start at 4.30pm with a second service at 7pm.
