Littleborough singer Danny Dearden was unsuccessful at making it to the live shows of the X Factor after failing to win over judge Mel B.
After jetting off to Cancun, Mexico the 23-year-old singer sang his rendition of Kelly Clarkson’s Beautiful Disaster to Judge Mel B and former Spice Girl Emma Bunton.
However, despite comments from his fellow contestants regarding how good Danny’s vocal range was he was pipped at the post by Italian singer Andrea Faustini who was first to be given a place in the live finals. He will be joined by Jake Quickenden and Paul Akister.
Informing Danny of her decision, Mel B said: “I’ve loved you from day one, undeniably you are pitch perfect but I can’t take you through. I am so sorry.”
The live shows will start this weekend (Saturday 11 October) with each judge also getting a wildcard choice.
