Hamer Community Primary School
On Wednesday 1 October Miss Mullane and Hamer’s fabulous HLTA’s organised a school council event for the 11 schools in the IPLCN group. The children had a wonderful time, learning and socialising with children from across Rochdale and Oldham.
Also the Citizens of the Week for the week ending 3 October was awarded to the School Council Representatives for excellent behaviour and teamwork whilst on the IPLCN Outdoor School Council day at Ashworth Valley.
Please remember that the children are not in school on Monday 6 and Tuesday 7 October next week due to staff training days.
On Wednesday 8 October there will be celebration parties in school and the children
can bring clothes from home to get changed for the afternoon.
On Thursday 9 October, Miss Fagan’s class will be leading the class assembly and we look forward to seeing some of the wonderful work that the class have produced so far this year.
On Friday 10 October in order to celebrate Eid and Harvest and the idea of giving to charity which is a common strand to both of these religious events, we are holding a joint assembly with Springside.
All parents are invited to the assembly and afterwards refreshments will be served in the dining room area. Please can parents donate and send in a tin of food. All donations will be donated to the Rochdale Food Bank.
The Maths Packs are still on sale from the school office between 9am and 9.30am at a cost of £3.
One or two children have started to arrive at school with tramlines shaved into their hair. This is a gentle reminder that lines or patterns shaved into hairstyles ,or any extreme elaborate styles or adornments are not appropriate for school . Thank you
To all our Hamer families and friends who will celebrate Eid over the weekend. Eid Mubarak from all at Hamer.
