Never off duty

Smallbridge beat officer PC Rycroft went the extra mile on his way to work today when he got sight of a wanted male. PC Rycroft stayed with the male and called for backup, when traffic officers arrived on scene the male was arrested and is currently in police custody.

Mini PC
Rochdale officers have sourced mini police uniforms which will be used at community events, schools and initiatives which involve school aged children. Officers will engage with the youngsters and encourage them to wear the uniforms whilst passing on age appropriate personal safety advice.

Officers will also be providing an opportunity for the children to have their finger print taken and placed inside a perspex key ring which will then be given to them as a keepsake.
