Littleborough U3A enrolls 79 members at first meeting

The Littleborough U3A committee hold up the interest group cards
The first meeting of Littleborough U3A enrolled 79 members on Monday (22 September).
As well as enrolling over 70 members, the group also launched 13 interest groups where members come together to speak French, Spanish or Italian, walk or study bird life, dance, sing, stitch, play bridge or meet for lunch or a trip to the theatre.
Henceforth, monthly meetings will be held on the second Monday of each month from 2pm-4pm in Littleborough Coach House.
The first talk entitled ‘Corned Beef Crooners’ will take place on Monday 13 October. Any new members can enroll at the meeting.
