Rochdale Environmental Action Group plan to clean up Blackpool!

Date published: 23 September 2014

The Rochdale Environmental Action Group is planning to take their well known clean up operation to towns and cities further afield.

In October, the group is heading to Blackpool to visit the famous Blackpool lights to help clean the roads and streets.

Closer to home, the groups latest clean up took place at the back of Drake Street on Saturday 20 September when the group cleaned Back Drake Street, Caton Street and adjoining streets.

The group visited the area after a local resident asked them to remove heaps of rubbish and litter from the rear of his property which opens on to Back Drake Street.

REAG is also working closely with the Environment Services, King Street East Residents Association and local organisations on improving the environment.
