This year's Year 11 GCSE Geography group have been studying sustainable transport as part of their course and their C.A.T. is to look at the effectiveness of this in Rochdale.
Last Wednesday the pupils spent a day 'in the field', so to speak, collecting data which will later be analysed and evaluated for this part of their GCSE.
The pupils patiently counted numbers of people using the train, tram, buses, cars and bicycles at various points around the top of Drake Street and recorded this information.
Fortunately the weather was kind to them so no soggy data collection sheets!
Their work in Geography over the next few weeks will involve charting this data, commenting on their findings then evaluating their study.
