Dragon’s Den initiative inviting local charities and community groups to bid for cash

Middleton Colts benefitted from last year’s Rotary Club of Middleton’s Dragon's Den

The Rotary Club of Middleton’s annual Dragon’s Den initiative is inviting local charities and community groups to bid for cash donations.

The initiative is now in its fourth year, Keith Trinnaman, President of The Rotary Club of Middleton said: “Last year this initiative was a fantastic success with 14 community groups and charities benefitting from a much needed donation.

"The groups awarded included Middleton Colts, Tonge Over 50s Club and The Angel Project. We would like to invite groups, charities and individuals to apply for item specific funding were possible.”

The Rotary Club of Middleton raises around £11,000 a tear through various activities including the much loved Father Christmas Street Collections.

The money raised through these events is distributed within the local community, to charities, groups and individuals seeking financial support.

To apply for funding, a short application should be completed and submitted by 31 October. Shortlisted bidders will then be invited to make a brief presentation to club members during December.

Cheques are presented to successful applicants in the New Year.
