The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation unprecedented act of writing an open letter to all schools unfortunately was found to be a valid warning. In this letter they warned schools that this summer's GCSE examination results were likely to be more variable from school to school than in the past. Individual schools should expect their results to be more variable from subject to subject. This has been found to be accurate.
