Ryan Knight in the finals of WorldSkills UK
Ryan Knight, a 20-year-old engineering apprentice, has secured a place in the finals of WorldSkills UK, a national skills competition.
Ryan, from Rochdale, who works at Whitworth-based Coates Engineering, is a finalist for the Mechanical Engineering category, which tests an engineers’ performance using CAD software to produce 2D technical drawings, 3D models and 3D assemblies.
Having made it through the regional heats, Ryan will travel to Birmingham NEC in November to compete in the UK final.
Ryan said: “I’m proud to have been shortlisted for such a prestigious event and look forward to showcasing my skills on the day.”
