Springhill Hospice Heywood shop celebrates first anniversary
Date published: 09 September 2014
The Springhill Hospice shop in Heywood will be celebrating one year since it opened on Friday 12 September.
Corks will be popping and the bubbly will be flowing when shop manager Derek Wardell and his team of volunteers celebrate the shops first birthday.
Since its opening a year ago, the public demand for its stock has meant that the shop is now also open on Sundays.
The shop took part in the first ever Go Green Day for Springhill Hospice and was the winner of the window dressing competition that took place for the Heywood 1940s event.
On Friday 12 September the shop will be open between 10am and 4pm for browsing and bubbly and if you’re lucky you might catch Springy the Hospice Frog who will be helping the shop celebrate in the morning.
