Smithy Bridge Station vandalised with graffiti
Smithy Bridge Station has recently been vandalised and covered in graffiti.
Users of the station noticed the graffiti and alerted Rochdale Council to the issue but it is currently unclear who is responsible for the graffiti.
Mark Widdup, Director of Economy and Environment at Rochdale Borough Council, said: “We have been made aware that Smithy Bridge Station has been vandalised and are taking steps to remove the graffiti. This should be completed by the end of the week.
“If anybody has any evidence of who may have conducted this mindless crime, we urge you to contact the police as soon as possible."
