Affordable homes development on Boundary Street completed

The supply of affordable homes in Rochdale has increased with the completion of a £3.2million, 32 property development, which Great Places Housing Group will make available for affordable rent.

The new development houses, by Mulberry Homes, is a mix of two, three and four-bedroom properties on Boundary Street, formerly occupied by a derelict industrial warehouse and office block.

Great Places’ Housing Group chief executive, Matthew Harrison, added: “We’re delighted to be involved in the Boundary Street project, which has delivered much-needed family homes for local people.

“This is an important development for the area as it is dominated by smaller terraced housing. It’s great to respond to the strong demand for new, spacious properties where local families can thrive.”
