Summer fun at Hollingworth Lake Water Activity Centre
Date published: 04 September 2014
Over 200 children and young people a week joined in outdoor pursuits at Hollingworth Lake Water Activity Centre’s (HOLWAC) summer fun programme.
Sessions included Saturday kids club, mini splash, multi activity, sailing and windsurfing.
Multi activity - an introduction to outdoor pursuits for children and young people - proved to be one of the most popular sessions. The full day sessions attracted boys and girls aged 7-14 year olds and gave them the opportunity to take part in activities such as sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, raft building, mountain biking and climbing.
HOLWAC’S Duty Manager, Pred Roberts, said: “We are delighted with the success of multi activity sessions. Children and young people of all abilities and ages have thoroughly enjoyed all the events that have taken place, especially the raft building and archery sessions.
"All the team have enjoyed working with the children to keep them busy and active throughout the summer.”
