Oil spilled on M62
Date published: 03 September 2014
Two cars crashed on M62 Eastbound between Junction 18 Simister Island and Junction 19 Heywood, causing oil to be spilled over the road this morning (Wednesday 3 September).
The incident, which took place at approximately 9am, closed two lanes for around 45 minutes; normal traffic resumed by 10am.
Reports suggested that a car was on fire at the scene, however the Highways Agency has confirmed that this was incorrect.
