Arson in Middleton

Detectives are appealing for information after an arson attack on a flat in Middleton.
Just before half past midnight today, Thursday 27 December, police were called to Cartmel Walk in Middleton following a report of a fire.
Emergency Services went to the scene where a 25-year-old man was rescued by fire fighters. He was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene but did not have hospital treatment.
The fire is being treated as arson and anybody with any information about the incident is asked to contact Rochdale CID on 0161 856 4646 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
