Chefs Peter Clough and Aazam Ahmad get the Feel Good Festival under way

Norden Arms Head Chef Peter Clough and BBC Fusion Chef Aazam Ahmad opened the Feel Good Festival celebrity kitchen today (Friday 29 August).
Peter and Aazam decided to take to the stage together and combine their demonstration slots.
During the demonstration, Peter, with help from Aazam, cooked up three dishes including Salt and Pepper Squid with King Prawns, a duck dish and a Panna cotta for dessert.

Peter, who is making his first appearance at the festival spoke to Rochdale Online after his demonstration and said: “I loved it. It was absolutely brilliant.”
As well as making his first Feel Good Festival appearance, this was the first time that Peter had done a live cookery demonstration.
He added: “I was a bit nervous at first but once I got going it was fine. I really enjoyed it and I would definitely come back.”

The chefs cooked and entertained the audience for around 45 minutes.
After Peter and Aazam, Chef Andrew Nutter took to the stage and cooked chocolate brownie, roast cod and a nectarine frangipane for those watching.

Later in the day, Farooq Ahmed of Veenas Restaurant in Heywood demonstrated to an emthusiastic crowd how to make a curry from scratch.
The celebrity food kitchen continues tomorrow (Saturday 30 August) when Justine Forrest and Ainsley Harriott will head the demonstrations.
