Man arrested on suspicion of murder

Police investigating a murder in Heywood have arrested a 45-year-old man on suspicion of murder.
At around 1.35pm on Tuesday 26th August 2014 Police were called to an address on Boleyn Court, Heywood, after reports of a concern for welfare.
Officers attended and found the body of a woman believed to be in her 40s. It is understood her body may have lain undiscovered for a month.
Formal ID has not yet taken place and a post mortem is due to take place this evening.
