Alison Kelly named nurse for children’s safeguarding

Alison Kelly has been appointed as a nurse who will be dedicated to safeguarding children in Rochdale.
Alison will be responsible for designing and delivering safeguarding children training, child protection supervision for staff at Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust and meeting with partner agencies at the Local Safeguarding Children Board in Rochdale.
Alison is a registered general nurse, mental health nurse and school nurse and had also worked as a safeguarding specialist nurse before becoming the Trust’s named nurse for safeguarding in Rochdale.
She said: “This is an exciting challenge to empower staff to embed safeguarding into their everyday practice to achieve better outcomes for children.”
