Roadworks shut part of A627M
Date published: 14 May 2008
Motorists travelling between Rochdale and Oldham face a diversion from Saturday night due to roadworks.
Resurfacing and roadmarking work means the Highways Agency will be closing part of the southbound carriageway of the A627M between Junctions 1 and 2.
The road will be closed overnight for five nights, between 10pm and 5am, from Saturday to next Wednesday. During the closure of the three-kilometre stretch of motorway a fully-signed diversion will be in place.
Traffic driving from Rochdale to Oldham will be diverted along the Slattocks Link Road on to the A664 Rochdale Road/Long Street.
Vehicles will then travel on to the A669 Oldham Road/Middleton Road to rejoin the A663 to junction 1 of the A627M near Elk Mill retail park.
