Bilal sleepover for youngsters

Christmas Eve was celebrated at Bilal Mosque, Wardleworth, with a sleepover organised by Bilal Youth Forum.
The event included talks on Islamic faith, paying particular attention to Prophet Esa, known as Jesus to those of Christian faith.
Chief Inspector Nadeem Mir and Councillor Sultan Ali also attended the event and joined in with the talks, speaking of a positive community.
Mohammed Moheeb, Chairman for the Bilal Youth Forum said: “Events such as these are very important to educate people about the inspiring stories of the prophet, so they can make positive contributions in their communities.
“Prophet Esa is a very important figure in Islam and to have a day to respect and value the prophet was rewarding.”
Those who attended the sleepover also took part in recreational activities such as table tennis and computer games.
The event finished with morning prayers and a breakfast of south-Asian delicacies.
