Kingsway also hosted and took part in the annual Rochdale Indoor Rowing Competition competing against schools from across Rochdale.
Pupils from years 7, 8 and 9 represented Kingsway Park in both individual and relay races and competed to an extremely high standard throughout the event.
Six pupils from key stage 3 competed in the Rochdale Playground to Podium football games at Rochdale Central Leisure Centre. As part of the event pupils took part in multiple skill sessions including dribbling, shooting and goal keeping. Pupils were placed into mixed teams to compete in an indoor five-a-side tournament. From this, a Rochdale team will be selected but it is currently unknown who has been selected for the team.
Celebrating success in school, BTEC Creative Media students from year 11 were recently made a music video with local band Dead of Night, fronted by ex pupil Courtney Cecere. As part of the experience the pupils got to use professional studio cameras, got
involved with creative editing and learned how to make a music video from start to finish.
