Visit from Lomeshaye School in Nelson
Date published: 05 December 2013
St John with St Michael CE Primary School in Shawforth had a lovely visit from Lomeshaye School in Nelson.
The schools have linked up as part of a community cohesion project and the day is all about the celebration of Advent.
Each classroom has different activity stations based on certain parts of the Nativity Story such as Angels in class 3 and Wise Men in class 4.
The visiting children from Nelson were split into groups so that they get a flavour of each activity throughout the day.
All the children worked wonderfully together and have had many questions to ask each other.
The artwork they produced is stunning, especially the shiny angels and matchstick stables.
