Community engagement officers from Healthwatch Rochdale at a library drop-in session

Rochdale residents are being invited to share their health and social care experiences, in order to shape services in the borough.

Every fourth Thursday from 28 November, Healthwatch Rochdale will host new drop-in sessions at Rochdale Central Library in Number One Riverside to gather people’s experiences with their local hospital, doctors surgeries or social care providers.

The drop-in sessions will take place from 10.00am to 3.00pm on:

• Thursday 28 November 
• Thursday 23 January 
• Thursday 27 February

Jacqueline Bestley, Healthwatch Rochdale’s Community Engagement Officer said: “Residents views really matter and can help to improve health and social care services in the borough.

“If people share just one good or bad experience that they have had in the last five years then we can analyse them and share the information with the local Health and Wellbeing Board to help shape future services in the borough. We also want to know about stories regarding good practice to use to encourage others to do the same.

Residents can also submit their experiences online via a ‘Speak Out’ button on the website at www.healthwatchrochdale.org.uk

Healthwatch is a new government initiative set up to make sure local people can have a say in their local health and social care services.
