Wardle Village Church got into the Christmas spirit by holding their Christmas Fair. The fair, which has been held annually for the past five years, raised money for the church.
Dena Longden said: "We had a refurbishment in 2008 and ran the fair as a way of inviting people in to have a look and it has continued from there."
This year’s fair included a chocolate tombola, homemade cards, cakes, books and Christmas gifts for sale. The fair also had charity stalls, which saw MacMillan and Springhill Hospice get involved and raise money for their causes.
"We also do it as a way of inviting people in and showing them that we are still here,” added Dena.
Organisers hope to have raised at least £500.
Wardle Village Church has been an Ecumenical Partnership since 1993 and its fully integrated congregation shares both Methodist and Anglican worship.
