Siddal Moor raise £2,402 for charity

Date published: 19 November 2013

Staff and students at Siddal Moor held a fund raiser on Friday in aid of Children in Need and Francis House. At the close of day on Friday 15 November the school had raised a staggering £2,402 and is still counting.

Some staff and students arrived at school in fancy dress and a competition was held to find the best costumes over the year groups. Winners included Harry Potter, Avatar and Jack Sparrow.

Throughout the course of the day activities were held around the school that students and staff could take part in, including “Guess the Teacher” from baby photos, nail art, cake and sweet stalls, penalty shoot-out and apple bobbing. At the end of the day students took part in a boxercise class in the school hall.

The House Co-Ordinators who organised the event where thrilled with how involved the students and staff were. House Co-Ordinator Mr Walmsley said: “We are delighted with the fancy dress turn out and as always the students entered into the spirit of things wholeheartedly and gave generously”.
