‘Flour power’ pays off

Cake and bake fans raised some £202 at Balderstone Library when they hosted a coffee and cake afternoon as part of the Great Pink Bake Off to raise vital funds for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
Visitors to the library in Balderstone Park bought more than 150 cakes and biscuits donated by staff and customers.
Breakthrough Breast Cancer is a charity which funds almost 25 per cent of the UK's breast cancer research and educates women to recognise the signs and symptoms of the disease.
