New Priest in Charge at Wardle & Smallbridge licensing as Priest in Charge at Wardle & Smallbridge licensing as Priest in Charge at Wardle & Smallbridge

Date published: 24 October 2013

Sharon's licensing as Priest in Charge at Wardle & Smallbridge, priest in charge of St Andrew's, Dearnley, also became vicar of Wardle and Smallbridge when she was licensed by the Bishop of Middleton, the Rt Rev Mark Davies at a delightful service in Wardle Village Church last Wednesday evening.

The Village Church, whose wardens and stewards presented Sharon with a huge welcoming cake, is joint C of E and Methodist.

Services will be led on the first and third Sundays of the month by a Methodist minister and on the second and fourth Sundays by Rev Jones.

The Sung Eucharist at St Andrew's now starts at 9.30am each Sunday to enable Rev Jones to then take the 11.00am service at Wardle on the relevant Sundays in each month.
