Rochdale parking spaces to reduce
Date published: 17 October 2013
Parking spaces in Rochdale Town Centre will reduce during and after the demolition of Rochdale Bus Station.
The bus station currently houses a multi storey car park with five levels adding to number of car parking spaces available throughout the town.
With the bus station car parking, there are a total of 2,978 parking spaces throughout Rochdale Town Centre.
It is understood that this number will reduce to 2,571 during the demolition of the bus station but will increase to 2,821 once the demolition has been completed.
A spokesperson for Rochdale Council added: “In addition to the car parking available throughout the town centre, including the two shopping centre car parks, there are also 160 spaces available on the former Pentagon and health centre sites (Baillie Street and Penn Street).”

As well as public car parking, there are also a number of privately operated car parks around the town centre which aren’t shown on the map.
