Greater Manchester Police search dogs

Greater Manchester Police search dog puppy
This puppy will hopefully be helping keep the streets of our area safe in the coming years as one of the next generation of Greater Manchester Police search dogs and all in the memory of a former member of GMP staff.
When Graham Hazlehurst sadly died, his family donated a sum of money to the Force’s Dog Training Unit.
They decided that a fitting tribute to Graham was to buy a Spaniel bitch and to breed puppies to supply the next generation of search dogs.
So it was that Luna, joined the team. Three years after buying her, she recently delivered her first set of puppies.
A spokesman said: "The pups will soon begin the process of training to be operational police dogs.
"They will always help members of the Force remember a much-missed colleague."
