Newman’s Own Foundation, the organisation started by the late actor and philanthropist Paul Newman, has announced it will donate £31,250 to Gaddum Centre in support of free counselling for members of families of children with serious and complex conditions in Rochdale.
The Gaddum Centre at Deen House, Rochdale, is one of eight UK charities who will receive a grant as part of the Foundation’s commitment to children with life-limiting conditions.
“Newman’s Own Foundation is proud to support Gaddum Centre,” says Robert Forrester, president and CEO of Newman’s Own Foundation. “This organisation is helping ensure that children with life-limiting conditions in Rochdale get the support they need.”
“Gaddum Centre is both delighted and grateful to be selected by Newman’s Own Foundation to receive funds in support of its Pediatric Palliative Care service for families in Rochdale,” says Sue Rodrigues, Director of Therapeutic Services.
”This grant will enable us to support seriously ill children and their families through a very difficult time in their lives. We will be able to offer free services from diagnosis for as long as needed – helping children stay at home with their families for as long as possible.”
