Five kittens lost in the dark

The lost kittens safe at Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary
On Friday night (11 October) a cat box was left in the lane outside Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary with five kittens and the mother cat.
When staff found the box and lifted it the box collapsed and the kittens ran off.
As the sanctuary is in the middle of open farm land and on the edge of Ashwoth Moor the kittens could have been anywhere hiding in the dark.
Twelve volunteers tuned up and searched until 3.00am, then resumed the search at 7.00am.
Thanks to the volunteers searching in the dark, all the kittens were found.
