Great Plasticine Event

Date published: 12 October 2013

The Star Tree Studio in Littleborough held a Plasticine event today (Saturday 12 October) as a way of inviting in new custom to the ever-growing business.

The arts and craft studio, which opened just over six months ago, used the event to spread the word about what they do and to encourage children to get creative.

The studio provides fun, educational arts, creative arts and crafts for children of all ages in a child friendly creative space.

Neela, manager of The Star Tree Studio, said: “We have had over twenty children through the doors today so it’s a good start.”

The event allowed children to create models with Plasticine, which are to be put on display in the studio as part of a group installation.

Neela also ran a competition in which two winners will receive a voucher for the studio.

All children involved also received a free packet of Plasticine.

Neela said: “Doing things like this is also a good way of attracting people to the area. I have had people from Bury, Eccles and Todmorden through the doors, and it is nice to bring people to Littleborough.”

Neela added: “I would run something like this again. It's just about fitting it in and doing it at the right time for people.”
