Date published: 10 October 2013

No further action will be taken against six men who were arrested over the murder of soldier Lee Rigby in south-east London.

All six were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder after the soldier was stabbed on 22 May near his barracks in Woolwich. They were later bailed.

The men, aged between 21 and 50, were arrested between 23 and 27 May.

Michael Adebolajo, 28, and Michael Adebowale, 22, have been charged with his murder. They deny the charges.

A trial date has been provisionally set for 18 November.

Those released without charge include a 29-year-old man arrested on 23 May, and three men aged 28, 24 and 21, who were detained on 25 May.

A 22-year-old arrested on 26 May and a man aged 50 was held the following day.
