Leaf Week
As part of Leaf Week, Year 3 children have been to Touchstones in Rochdale, making jam jar wormeries. 4S are going to Matthew Moss to do water monitoring and the Eco Committee are going to a recycling plant at Pilsworth to learn about recycling and what happens to our waste.

Book Fair
The Book Fair will be in the hall after school until Thursday.

School Photographs
We will be having school photographs taken on Monday 14 October. There will be an opportunity to have photographs taken with smaller children in your family from 8.30am (not adults). If you have siblings in school, they can have their photograph taken together after the family photographs and then each class will have individual ones taken.

Dinner Money
Dinner money is now£1.90 per day - £9.50 per week. Money needs to be paid either weekly in advance on a Monday morning or on a daily basis.
We are now on a three-weekly menu cycle and next week we will be on Week 1.

Music Lessons
Please make sure children have their instruments with them. Lessons for this half term are £17.10.
Guitar – Monday morning
Cornet – Wednesday lunchtime

Harvest Festival
Thank you so much for all the food donations which will go to the Rochdale Foodbank for distribution in the local area.

School Assembly
You are welcome to come and watch your child in their class assembly. The first one is on Tuesday 15th October for class 4P at 1.20pm.Class 4S is on Tuesday 22 October at 1.20pm.

Halloween Bingo
Halloween Bingo is on Wednesday 23rd October. Doors open at 6pm – eyes down at 6.15pm. Entrance: 50p child; £1 adult; £2 family ticket (2 adults + 2/3 children) Entrance includes refreshments (biscuits and juice) + £1 per book of bingo tickets and flyers.Prizes for best adult and child fancy dress.

Winter Fair
Our winter fair will be held on Friday 22 November at 3.30pm – more details to follow after half term.

St. Martin’s Church
This year’s church fair will be held on Saturday 23 November.

Donkey Sanctuary
Our donkeys are rescue donkeys from the Donkey Sanctuary. To show our support, we are selling raffle tickets for their Christmas Raffle. If anyone is interested, we are selling them in the office at £1 each. 1st prize: £5,000; 2nd prize: £2,000 and 3rd prize: £1,000.
