Falinge Park High School are delighted to be involved in the Rochdale ‘Ideas and Literature Festival’ in the next few weeks. We hope that you can see our students involved in a dance performance for Simon Armitage and our Drama students will be involved in a protest poetry performance with Just Poets. More details will follow in the next few weeks.

The Year 9 BTEC Drama students are performing at Wycoller Hall on Friday 25 October from 6pm until 7pm. Tickets for the event are available from the CEPA Office at school, priced £3.00. The evening will consist of a range of sketches and extracts based on ghost stories and haunted happenings. We hope you can join us on this dark evening for some spooky entertainment.

Arts and Curry Night takes place on Friday 22 November 2013. Tickets cost £5.00 including food and entertainment and are available from the CEPA Office at breaktimes, lunchtimes or after school.

Many thanks to the teaching staff and arts professionals from across the borough who joined us for our termly AProN (Arts professionals Network) Meeting this week as we had plenty to discuss. If you would like to find out more about the network, please contact us directly at school via Mr De Courcey.

We are currently in the process of clearing out our cupboards and storage areas ready for the move into our new school. This week sees us donate clothing and costumes to Springhill Hospice as part of an ongoing process. Many thanks to all the learners who have helped at various points in this process so far.
