Cycle to School
We do try to encourage children to cycle to school. So on Friday, 25 October we are organising a special cycle to school and decorate your bike day. Children can cycle to school on this day and will be asked to decorate their bike – the theme is ‘Bling up your bike’. After parading their bikes in the School Hall the children will be given the chance to ride their bikes on the school playground.

Asthma/Allergy Forms
All parents who have notified school that their child has asthma/allergies should have received a form to update information. Please return to school as soon as possible. Thank you. If you have not received a form or you need one, please ring the school office or inform your child’s class teacher. This is important, in order that school are aware of all children’s health needs.

Applications for Reception Places September 2013
You will receive information directly from Pupil Services at Rochdale MBC. All our Nursery parents have been issued with an individually named application pack from school. You can apply for places on-line now or you can collect a form from the school office.

Does Your Child Have An Appointment?
If so we have a supply of standard letters available in the dispenser in the main entrance – please complete the necessary form and place in the box in your child’s class. Whenever possible please try to make non-urgent appointments outside of the school day. Thank you.

What to do if your child is unwell
Please, please telephone school on 01706 647991 before 9.30 a.m. to advise us if your child is poorly. You can leave a message on the answer phone at any time of day or night. Our prime consideration is the welfare of our children and we have to account for their whereabouts during school hours. Thank you for your support.

Class Boxes
I have organised a system in school where all monies, letters etc. can be placed in the ‘class box’ – there is a box in every class, including Nursery. This ensures that monies, etc. can be easily and safely taken down to the school office. If you have any letters or money for school please place these in the class box each morning.

Medicine in School
School will make arrangements to administer medicine, if absolutely necessary; however we do require a parent/carer to complete an authorisation form giving school permission to do this. These are kept in the classroom and not in the school office. However, when your child visits the doctor could you please ask for medicine which needs to be given three times per day. This would mean medicine would not need to be given during the school day. Thank you.
